Update- New Zealand (NZ) in all control of the quarter final match against South Africa (SA)
What a match it has turned around to be! With 6 wickets down South Africa struggling to get runs. Looks like Kiwi's are going to win the match upsetting South Africa and proving that they cant handle mental pressure. I am watching every bit of the match live and I must say I am loving it.
Very well done Kiwi's, you deserve to win the match today, given the hard work you boys have shown today on the field both with the bat and that ball.

After a silent one sided 1st quarter final between Pakistan and West Indies, the 2nd quarter final between India and Australia was a thriller and now the world is going to witness the mother-father of all clashes when India meets Pakistan in the semi finals. India vs Pakistan is always more than just cricket, we will play for our pride as well to secure place in the finals of the World Cup 2011.
In the third quarter final, South Africa and New Zealand would be meeting each other today to find a place in the semi finals.
South Africa which is known as one of the best teams have never won a Cricket World Cup and Kiwi's (NZ) have never reached a World Cup final.
South Africa has bowled out every team they have played against except for England where they lost the match. South Africa has a formidable bowling attack and they have proved every bit of them till now in the CWC 2011.
New Zealand on the other hand has some real good all-rounders who can bat in the late innings as well and batting strength is quite deep, but there problem lies in the inconsistency of there star players like Ross Taylor, Brendon McCullum and Martin Guptill.
Daniel Vettori, Kyle Mills, Tim Southee should do something exception with the ball to stay in the World Cup. Both have missed few matches because of fitness issues.
Who will win the match between South Africa and New Zealand in the QF3 tomorrow?
Chances are better for South Africa to win and they are the favorites to move forward in the world cup semi finals where it will meet Sri Lanka at Colombo on 29th of March. I have pre-assumed that Sri Lanka will win beating England in the 4th quarter final on Saturday, 26th March.
Frankly speaking, its too tough a challenge for a team like New Zealand who lacks consistency of performance, both with the bat and the ball.
South Africa has won all the three games they have played at Mirpur and New Zealand has rather lost all the matches they played here last October against Bangladesh during there tour.
If New Zealand bats first and any of the star players gets going then except a match which will be fun and interesting to watch and not one sided cricket school team vs State Cricket Team kind of match. After all Cricket is more fun with lots of twist n turns!
Having said that, expect South Africa to have upper hand during the 3rd quarter final match most of the while ultimately winning the QF3 match today.
