India Wins ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 Championship Trophy-Countrymen Delighted

India won the World Cup 2011 beating Srilanka in the final winning the ICC Cricket World Cup. It took 28 years to live the glory again after the famous 1983 World Cup win.
India started as the cup winning favorites pre-tournament. They justified the favoritism and proved today that India is the best cricket team in the world with all what Champions must have in them to create history.
It was a classic match to watch with a lot been at stake. Started with a re-toss dramatic confusion, went good for India till the 45th over of Srilankan's batting and in the last power play, Lankans scored 63 runs in 5 overs to end the innings with a very good competitive total of 274 in 50 overs.
India's batting start was very scary. Sehwag got out at a duck (Zero) and Sachin Tendulkar also departed back to the pavilion early and India was deeply in crisis. They both lost there wickets to Lankan pace machine Malinga.
Mr Dependable, Gautam Gambir came into play along Virat Kohli to steady the sinking ship. Virat Kohli got out after a good partnership with Gambhir. Then came the master stroke, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Indian Captain promoted himself up the order surprising everyone and played a match winning innings and finished not out.
Gautam Gambhir should have struck his century in the final but was bowled out on 97 charging down the wicket to Thisara Perera. Gautam Gambhir's inning had crucial importance in the India's world cup win. He's really an asset for India and may say, he's the modern one-day cricket Rahul Dravid (The Wall).
Dhoni and Gambhir came together with India at 114 and put on a century partnership that steered the home side away from the danger zone to much safety.
Dhoni was struggling to score runs through out the tournament, but thankfully the guy from Ranchi, got back his form at the perfect time. He scored 91 runs off his bat and played a champion captain's inning and stayed not out. MS Dhoni was awarded the Man Of the match for his tremendously well played inning.
It was a majestic six hit by Dhoni straight above the bowlers head to get the innings winning runs and win the world cup 2011 finals against Srilanka in front of a massive home crowd, Mumbai.
There was not a single dry eye and everybody had tears of happiness going down there eyes. Winning the world cup 2011 was more than just a dream. Its the biggest prize in the world of cricket teams and players plays, lives, dreams and desires for.
Sachin Tendulkar, master blaster was the inspiration to the whole team. It was Sachin who became the inspiration for Team India to win the world cup for Sachin and the country India. Whole team was so dedicated and passionate about the thought of winning the world cup for Sachin as he plays the last World cup of his super marvellous career.
Little master's, 21 years of hard work and passion towards the game of cricket has finally paid off. Sachin Tendulkar, who is also known to be the God Of Cricket said while talking to Ravi Shastri that he feels proud to be in the team, he feels great and lucky to be part of a team with so much of passion, spirit, dedication.
Yuvraj Singh, 4 time man of the match winner in World Cup 2011 was awarded the the Man Of The Tournament by the jury. He's one guy who saved India while all the crisis in the group stages and quarter final stage when India didn't look much impressive. Yuvi deserved the man of the series award, played an very important role in the team both with the bat and the ball, his hard work ultimately paid off.
It were celebrations all around, on the field, off the field, on the road, off the road, in the sky (fireworks), everyone was so excited for this day, for the moment of glory.
It was 2nd April, 1983, Saturday when we won the World Championship first time and we repeated the day 2nd April, Saturday, 2011 to became the World Champions again to regain the trophy. 28 years we lived without the cup. Finally its our's again.
Thank You Team India, Thank You Gary for giving us this best gift. We know You Are The Best, you proved it to the world keeping our honor, pride, dignity at place.
We salute you, we salute the spirit you played the game with, we salute your passion, we salute you and We Thank You Very Very Much for giving us such a memorable day once again.
